Default Gimme a good game

So I was banned and am in the process of removing said ban (which,is going well IMO,love the support atm)

Anyways,is there another game you would reccomend? I don't want any Call of Duty,Counter Strike, etc stuff.

GW was a game I played (and hopefully will play) to relax,so is there any good pay-for-box game similar (not in gameplay, but in the way were you can play 100 hours and not get mad) to GW?

My examples would be Portal and Garry's Mod...

Don't know if I can ask this here but whatever...just gimme some games you play on PC other than GW please.

PS: Please don't discusss anything relating to my ban here,if you want to talk to me about my/your ban for some reason...Xfire- handseye17 or PM me here.

I play Left for Dead 2, I know you said no Counter Strike type games, but L4D is about killing Zombies lol. It's good fun, the boss type zombies can be annoying and the AI of the computer controlled guys (if no humans playing with you) is questionable. Still a very good game though!

Assuming you don't necessarily want an MMO...

I would recommend Baldur's Gate, particularly the second. The fact there is still a decently sized active community 12 years after the first game was released shows how good it is. There's a ton of mods out there too, both for big fixing, tweaking, and new content. Not to mention the whole set costs pretty much nothing because it's so old.

PS: It's the best game I've ever played; better than Dragon Age (if you've played that).

L4d2 is where its at.
if you choose to get l4d2 for the PC add me to your steam friends as atomisk8115
Also, Mass Effect 2 is, well, massive.

Have you played Oblivion? That sucked me in for a good many hours. The (kinda, more a similar game by the same guys) sequel Fallout 3 not so much, think because I played Oblivion to death that I couldn't be bothered doing the same sort of thing all over again.

If you are after RPG then Baldur's Gate set, Neverwinternights set, Morrowind or Oblivion. Or if you go for Strategy then Sins of a Solar Empire is great or there is always the Civilization III & IV games.

I have fallout 3...think Oblivion is worth it tho...now that a few years have passed since it came out?

Oblivion is good. Not nearly as epic as some people were saying it is. There are some key issues that really annoy me. It's worth it if you're an RPG fan and want to play it, but if you haven't played BG do that first. It's so much better.

Free Games:

RF Online

Rohan: Blood Feud

two games i have played when taking a break from gw. They are both pretty grind intensive and feature cash shops. RF Online has a bunch of private servers though where the exp rates are cranked up really high so you can just get to max lvl for PvP. They both follow the "uber gear makes you uber" philosophy

To answer your earlier question, if you can pick up Oblivion cheap, yes it's worth it, but now (if it was me buying), I'd pick L4D2, much more action packed. Oblivion is kinda like a chillout game by comparison. Someone else mentioned Morrowind, thats another game that sucked me in for coutless hours (better than Oblivion I'd say, but has older graphics and the fight system is annoying early on, you miss alot)

Baldur's Gate was also on the playstation 2 but those are a different set and play more like Diablo (which is hella good). If you end up liking that, you can also get Champions of Norrah, D&D Heroes and some other game I keep forgetting the name of. All by the same developer too.

Quake 3: Arena? UT was way better imho. UT3 destroyed the amount of players on UT, UT3 is a damn good game, but no one plays, such a shame! I think Epic were forced to release the game too soon, a very bad decision, so many players gave up after that. I hope to god GW2 doesn't make the same mistake.
